🎁 July Giveaway! Peace Pawz System, The Red Rocket Scoop, & 10 Smells Cats Hate

Hi Reader,

Hope you and your kitty are doing well.

Happy July 1! We have a new giveaway (see below)!

My fellow Americans - please be mindful of wildlife, scared cats and dogs and people suffering from PTSD, and just say no to fireworks. I never understood this importance until I experienced a very terrified cat and also after living in New Mexico where a single firework can cause loads of damage and also pollute the air for miles and miles. I have made the decision to no longer support fireworks as a result.

The AI Litter Box Camera You Didn't Know You Needed

If you missed my original review of the SiiPet LitterLens, it is absolutely worth a second look because it quickly became one of my favorite products I've ever tested. It’s a tiny, waterproof camera that mounts right inside your litter box and uses AI facial recognition to track bathroom habits, alerting you early to potential health red flags like UTIs or bloody stool before they become an emergency.

When I initially tested it over at my sister's house with Ash and Addie, it not only provided incredible health insights and a digital record for the vet, but it also surprisingly doubled as a great way to monitor if the pet sitter was actually scooping! If you want ultimate peace of mind and proactive health data for your cats, click through to watch the full review and see exactly how it works in action.

10 Smells Cats Hate

Did you know your cat has over 200 million scent receptors? Their incredibly sensitive noses mean that some of our favorite everyday scents are actually overwhelming—or even repulsive—to them.

You might be surprised to learn that common household items, from certain fruits (like bananas!) to your favorite cleaning products, could be secretly stressing out your kitty.

Curious if your home is hiding any feline offenders? Check out this article to discover the top 10 smells cats absolutely despise, why they hate them, and how a few simple swaps can make your home a much happier environment for your furry best friend.

4. Scoop

Red Rocket Cat Litter Scoop

This is my favorite litter scoop. For years, I had another favorite, until this one came along. It's great. I "forget" how great it is, until I have to scoop someone else's litter box that doesn't have this.

The $5 shipping sucks because it's half the price of the scoop - but it's $5 shipping on Amazon if you get 1 or if you get 5. So get 5 and pass them out to friends and family! Great stocking stuffers!

The Red Rocket Swift'R Sift'R Cat Litter Scoop makes cleaning up after your feline friends an absolute breeze with its comfort grip handle and high-sided basket. Designed with clever triangular tines, this scoop allows loose litter to fall through rapidly, which saves you both time and effort. It also features a stiff front blade and a deep, rounded shovel shape that perfectly tackles stubborn clumps stuck in the corners of the box. If you want a durable, comfortable tool that works beautifully with all types of litter, this scooper is a fantastic addition to your daily routine.

Ragdoll kitten torbie video

Hi Reader, Last week, I mentioned that there is BIG NEWS in the Floppycats' family....MEET MacGyver! SHE and Bo have already formed a bond and love one another =). MacGyver was named after the popular 1980s-early 1990s TV Show that my cousin Jill loved. I love her name as well because I, too, loved that show. MacGyver comes from Bluedreamer Ragdolls in Kansas City (where we live), and she is a blue torbie. Torbie = tabby + tortie, so she is a blue lynx like Trigg was, but she has fun tortie...

Ragdoll cat looking at a bee cat toy wand.

Hi Reader, There is more BIG news in the extended Floppycats' family...but I haven't had a chance to properly announce it yet...can you guess what it is? My cousin was recently out of town, so I had the great pleasure of seeing her seal point Ragdoll kitten, Bo, almost daily while she was gone - and man, he is a cool cat. I am most impressed by his Ragdoll limpness when you pick him up. Reminds me of Caymus, the only other true "ragdoll" that I have picked up. Caymus, at 17 lbs, required two...

Ragdoll cat belly up on a grounding mat

Hi Reader, Charlie keeps seeking out grounding on his own accord. Here's what I love about Charlie's attraction to the grounding mat - he has no skin in the game. He didn't read some newsletter. He didn't see an ad on social media and wondered if it worked. He found the mat on my bed, got on it and realized it did something in his body. And he continues to return to it for a few hours a day to get the benefits. Meaning, it's not his mind telling him it is supposed to help with inflammation or...
