Hi Reader, Hope you are well and your kitties are too. It is with a heavy heart that I share some sad family news. On Saturday, September 19th, my cousin Jill said goodbye to her beautiful 18-year-old seal colorpoint Ragdoll, Harlow. 💔 Jill brought Harlow home from Angelkissed Ragdolls in Minnesota back in June 2008. Born on April 24, 2008, she was the full sister to Maddie and the half-sister to Hobbs. Jill shared this beautiful tribute that perfectly captures how special she was: "Harlow...

Hi Reader, Hope you are well and your kitties are too. Yesterday, I went over to my cousin's house to get some footage of her seal point Ragdoll kitten, Bo, eating RAWZ Sardines and Pumpkin. When he was younger and my cousin was out of town, I fed some to him and he went NUTS. And I wish I had recorded it. Then RAWZ accidentally sent me some cans of RAWZ Sardines and Pumpkin for a giveaway - and so I thought I would get footage of him eating it as a thank you for the food. So I went over...

Hi Reader, I love September. It is my very favorite month of the year - however, our September in Kansas City this year has been more like the first part of August. I mentioned in my last newsletter that I coach high school field hockey in the fall. We travelled to St. Louis last weekend and man, if you add a hot artificial turf to very hot, it's something else. Like my cat, I typically love the heat, but I was pretty delirious in that heat. It was 101°F (38.33°C) - but artificial turf acts...

Hi Reader, I feel like I just wrote the last newsletter! I am not sure how a week already went by. In the fall, I coach high school field hockey, so I am always running around with my head cutt off - luckily, Charlie is so comfortable now that he just sleeps from when we go inside to when I come home from hockey. It's pretty dang hot here right now and he likes to hang out outside longer than most would. 🎥 New Shorts for Your Entertainment When a Tree Limb Snaps Right Through a Bee Hive:...

Hi Reader, Last week, I mentioned that there is BIG NEWS in the Floppycats' family....MEET MacGyver! SHE and Bo have already formed a bond and love one another =). MacGyver was named after the popular 1980s-early 1990s TV Show that my cousin Jill loved. I love her name as well because I, too, loved that show. MacGyver comes from Bluedreamer Ragdolls in Kansas City (where we live), and she is a blue torbie. Torbie = tabby + tortie, so she is a blue lynx like Trigg was, but she has fun tortie...

Hi Reader, There is more BIG news in the extended Floppycats' family...but I haven't had a chance to properly announce it yet...can you guess what it is? My cousin was recently out of town, so I had the great pleasure of seeing her seal point Ragdoll kitten, Bo, almost daily while she was gone - and man, he is a cool cat. I am most impressed by his Ragdoll limpness when you pick him up. Reminds me of Caymus, the only other true "ragdoll" that I have picked up. Caymus, at 17 lbs, required two...
