Water-Based Cleaning for a Healthier Home & (Coming Soon: Feline Health Interviews) 😻

Hi Reader,

Hope you are having a good week headed into Valentine's Day weekend.

I have a few interviews this week that I am excited about - Wednesday is Dr. Dragos again. We are going to talk about kittens! And how to approach their veterinary care in the first year, what they should eat, and more. I am very excited to talk about something fun and starting off on the right foot!

Then, on Friday, I will interview Julie Anne Lee of Adored Beast Apothecary again. I feel so very fortunate to be interviewing her again. I have a deep and profound respect for what she does and who she is, and she alone (by listening and watching her interviews) got me through the nightmare of Charlie's itching, scratching, and biting 3 years ago. She kept me sane without knowing she did. She has "celebrity status" in my eyes, so consequently, I am often a little idiotic when I interview her. We will be discussing their brand-new product, Vital Defense. Adored Beast Apothecary's Vital Defense is a supplement that supports cellular health and function in pets using a blend of natural ingredients.

If you have time, I always appreciate a view and comment on this past week's shorts!

Are you on Flipboard? Please join us there if you are.

Peace, love, and purrs,

Jenny

Effortless Cleaning? HYLA EST Nimbus Wet Cleaning System Tested!

Three years ago, I bought a HYLA EST water vacuum. I had wanted a water vacuum for over 10 years and had the opportunity to get one, so I went for it. I really love it - instead of dirt being collected in a bag or canister, it's collected in water - the result is a fresher, cleaner-smelling house. It's also excellent for people and pets with allergies because everything is trapped and contained in the water. You can also run the HYLA as a purifier afterward, which is cool. About a year ago, the North American distributor for the vacuum sent me the Nimbus add-on to try out. And it's been sitting in my garage for months. I finally decided to unbox and use it - I am glad I did! It got up vomit stains with ease.

I also discovered it can suck up liquid spills and more. I will explore it more and then do a review.

Why Do Cats Like Bleach?

Does this scenario sound familiar? Someone in your house has been cleaning using bleach, and even though they wash up thoroughly, your Ragdoll kitty immediately and inexplicably begins to go a little crazy, sniffing, rubbing, and rolling all over anything that smells like bleach, from hands to mops, to laundry. What gives? Why do cats like bleach?

Flea Traps for Inside Your Home

These flea traps I have throughout my house catch WAY more than fleas - in fact, I am not sure if I have caught a flea on them, but they catch everything else (and way better to have and use than chemicals!). They also double as great nightlights! I have one in my basement by my desk, one in my basement by Charlie's litterboxes (this is the spot that gets the very most!), one in my living room behind the chair that Charlie always sits in, and one in my kitchen. I really appreciate them as nightlights, and it's fascinating to see the variety of bugs they collect - and spiders. I would never spray chemicals for bugs anymore, so these work out great.

Hi Reader, I hope your week is going well. I went to Orlando last week to Global Pet Expo and was very excited to meet Julie Anne Lee of Adored Beast Apothecary. I didn't know she would be there, and it was quite fun to meet her after all the interviews we have done (I think we have done four?). After spending time with her in person, I love her even more. I loved the show's first day; I was so excited about everything. However, as I got into the second day, I started to get sad about all the...

Hi Reader, Hope your week is going really well. By the time you get this email, I will be at Global Pet Expo in Orlando, Florida. I have ALWAYS wanted to go, but haven't been able to get away because of Charlie or Trigg's needs/health, finances etc. Charlie is stable enough, so I am able to travel. My mom and sister are also in town, so if the cat sitter has any trouble, I know they are around to help out. However, I feel terrible when he is alone, especially with Trigg gone. Do you have a...
