Insurance: The mistake I'm glad my sister didn't make

Hi Reader,

Hope you and your kitties are doing well.

Don't forget about our giveaway this month: October 2025 Giveaway: RAWZ Lower Phosphorus Canned Cat Food

Recently, I had someone contact me on Instagram after seeing one of my older videos feeding Charlie and Trigg raw. She is dealing with a multitude of issues with her cat, and has decided to get to the root cause of it, rather than continuing to treat the problem. I LOVE when people do this. You learn so very much about the body, how to repair, heal and restore health.

I am so glad I went through the same and couldn't have done it wtihout the help of Pam of Purrrfectly Holisitc. If you know there's a better way and are super frustrated with a health situation with your cat, Pam probably has the answer.

Pam of Purrrfectly Holistic

Please don't take that aas I am like I am oppose. I love them for acute problems and a serious emergency, o pharmacopposed when als, as I am not - but I am when they aren't necessary, over used and used for way too long. I amHyperesthesia n p on Facebook for Feline Hpyuperperesthiasia - what Charlie is in remission from - and am ralways very surprised by the amount of people who do not know or understand (and you) that long-term pharmaceutical use in their - or other imbalances in other organs. Bodies work synergistically, so anything you take can and will affect another part cats can and will cause liver and kidney issues. Sames goes orf or us - when I had a my thryoid disease for 8 years, I was on the sMy docs eds they put hyperthyoid cats on - methimazole - t. They always checked my liver and kidn

My experience with Charlie's kidney disease has been so entirely different and rewarding compared to the 5 kidney cats before him. I feel so much more confident, capable and hopeful. It is a really nice feeling.

Here's to good health.

Peace, love, and purrs,

Jenny

Is Lemonade Cat Insurance the Purr-fect Fit for Your Feline Friend?

Let’s take a closer look at Lemonade Cat Insurance, a popular option that’s shaking up the insurance world with its tech-forward approach and unique features. Whether you’re a new cat owner, an experienced pro, budget-conscious, or seeking comprehensive coverage, understanding your options is key.

Years ago when my sister adopted her rehomed Ragdolls, the previous owner asked my sister if she wanted the cat's health insurance plan to be transferred to her. My sister asked me what to do at the time - I told her that our vet (then, not now), suggested that you just put away in a savings account what you would pay an insurance company. For some reason, my sister decided to keep the insurance and I am so glad she did. Several months (might have been a year), her rehomed Addie was on her death bed and needed life-saving surgery from a gastro-intestinal disease. The surgery and ER hospital stay cost over $10,000. Because of the insurance, my sister owed only $1,000.00. After that experience, I got cat health insurance for Charlie and Trigg. It paid for itself over and over again - including Trigg's last two weeks of life that added up to $8500. I paid only $850.

Do you have insurance? Why or why not?

There is a lot more to it than that - and Lemonade is a popular one in a Facebook Group I am in. However, I wasn't able to get a quote from them because they are not yet in Kansas (where I reside). As of now, Lemonade Pet Insurance is offered in over 40 states and D.C.

Windy and Mac – Floppycats of the Week

"Late in Feb of 2014 I suddenly lost my beloved Ragdoll/Manx boy kitty, he was aggravating his older cat sister Joey the night before. He vomited a couple of times (as long hair cats tend to do) I could see he was feeling bad and planned to get up extra early to take him to the vet. But he was gone the next morning, and I didn’t know why ( he did have a habit of licking everything, bags, hands after hand cream, many things). I was heart broken, I had raised him from about 2 months old and he was my baby. I missed him terribly and my remaining cat had never been an only cat and was confused and stuck to me like glue."

Hi Reader, Hope you and your kitty are well. Something happened this past weekend that took my breath away - I found Charlie sleeping in the sink upstairs, which is something that hasn't happened in about two years. To me, this was an excellent sign that he is feeling more like himself. I shared last week that I have been working with a homeopath in the UK with Charlie, and the last remedy he had (there have been several, including one that expelled liver flukes) helped to expel heavy metals....

Hi Reader, Happy October! I love September and October, but mostly the beginning of October because September is still lingering. So, it's really September that I still love. Charlie has also been enjoying the weather - posted this photo on Monday of him. Charlie is doing well. We have continued to work with the homeopath in the UK, and it has been interesting to see the changes in Charlie since he started taking the remedies. I cannot tell you how much I WISH homeopathy were as well-known as...
