​Part cat, part luxury rug, 100% best friend. Good girl, Addie. 🐾​

This is my sister's cat, Addie, and my nephew, who has a natural affection for animals. I think this is adorable - most people look at the child and worry about him getting scratched. However, I notice the cat, who is not totally comfortable, but putting up with it - and not miserable either. My nephew does this to her a lot, and it's always the same situation - she is meowing, but not struggling to get away. I know Addie pretty well now, and I would say she loves the attention he gives her. And she's also just a really nice cat. My sister and brother-in-law would never let him hurt her. My Rags definitely endured stuff like this with my sister when she was almost 2 =). But I always hesitate to post this stuff on Floppycats because some people think it's mean. I don't see it that way. If Addie was terrified of him or wanted to be left alone, she wouldn't be around - Ash (my sister's other cat) doesn't get near the kids or the dog - he's not a fan.
