From Life-Threatening Sepsis to Cat Gratitude, and a Taylor Swift Dream... 😻

Hi Reader,

As I prepare this newsletter, I am watching Starfish on Amazon Prime. The film depicts the devastating impact of sepsis on a family. Tom Ray contracts a life-threatening condition, which results in him losing his limbs and having severe facial disfigurement. It portrays the couple's struggle to cope with this sudden and drastic life change.

It has reminded me of how many things I take for granted daily.

April 12 was a full moon, and our pollen is crazy high (FYI - https://www.pollen.com/ is an excellent site if you need to know what the pollen situation is where you are), and I have taken for granted how well Charlie is doing given his history during such periods. I am anxious for the pollen count to go down. I did not grow up with allergy problems; none of my siblings or our parents had them, so I wasn't familiar with how seasonal allergies affect things. It wasn't until Charlie that I had a greater understanding. And it wasn't until I started working on his gut health 3 years ago that I realized what a difference that can make.

I used to get this itchy patch of skin under my nose every allergy season - it wasn't until Charlie's experience with allergies that I put it together that my itchy patch was an allergic reaction to a seasonal pollen. Consequently, I have worked on my leaky gut and no longer have that reaction. I had forgotten about it - and the craziness of a full moon and allergy issues with Charlie (they are so mild compared to what they used to be), that I had forgotten how far we've come and how grateful I am.

So here's my reminder to think of something you're grateful for that you've forgotten about. I will do the same. We need more conscious awareness and gratitude in the world anyway.

In other news, our Elfin fountain review has been released. I LOVE this fountain. I want another. You can see the review posted below.

Does anyone have a Taylor Swift connection? Please forward this! I can't get in touch with her directly, so I figured this might be another way. A girl can dream, right?

I always appreciate a view and comment on this past week's shorts if you have time!

Are you on Instagram? Please join us there if you are.

Peace, love, and purrs,

Jenny

Hi Reader, How are you? I am looking to do more interviews with veterinarians, holistic or integrative ones. What subject matters would you like to have covered? This week's interview is with Dr. Anna Maria Wolf, a holistic veterinarian out of the PNW. We discussed Feline Hyperesthesia Syndrome - which is what Charlie had three years ago that I (with the guidance of a holistic practitioner) was able to get under control and it's now in remission. It's important to me to get these talks out...

Hi Reader, I have been sending these emails out monthly because readers love the reminder. I love these deals and definitely take advantage of them every time they come out. They used to be monthly, but now they are not as frequent. Do you know about the Chewy deal? Free $30 eGift Card with $100 purchase with code HAVEFUN. And what's really cool is that you can do the deal 3x every time - they vary, though, when it's available. And there are limitations on what they include for this....

Hi Reader, I hope your week is going well. I went to Orlando last week to Global Pet Expo and was very excited to meet Julie Anne Lee of Adored Beast Apothecary. I didn't know she would be there, and it was quite fun to meet her after all the interviews we have done (I think we have done four?). After spending time with her in person, I love her even more. I loved the show's first day; I was so excited about everything. However, as I got into the second day, I started to get sad about all the...
