Our weather is much nicer this week, which is encouraging but also always scary for flea season for me....it's so much work.

Last week, I wrote: "Earlier this week, an old boyfriend's father sent me an AI-generated video that had gone viral - it was of a polar bear who was getting clams rinsed off of its fur by a fisherman. When I told him it was completely AI-generated, he felt duped. I told him what is defeating to me is to see a completely made-up video like that go viral rather than ones that creators like me work on that take a good amount of our time. So, when I say I always appreciate a view and comment if you have time, I mean it." And then there was a call for YouTube creators about a new AI option on YouTube to create these sorts of videos. I can see this being used very creatively and fun, but also can see them being totally ridiculous. To show you what I mean, I went ahead and made three:

Now, I spend hours and hours on my Shorts videos, yet these AI ones were created in a matter of seconds. So, can this be used and abused? Yes! Can it be used to create something cool and fun? YES! But my concern is definitely people believing them.
