It is with a heavy heart that I share some sad family news. On Saturday, September 19th, my cousin Jill said goodbye to her beautiful 18-year-old seal colorpoint Ragdoll, Harlow. 💔

Jill brought Harlow home from Angelkissed Ragdolls in Minnesota back in June 2008. Born on April 24, 2008, she was the full sister to Maddie and the half-sister to Hobbs.

Jill shared this beautiful tribute that perfectly captures how special she was:

"Harlow loved her babies. We always called her mama because even though she never had a litter of her own, she loved her human sisters and brother. She would come running to check on them when they cried. She was the last of the original crew of pets that we had as a couple. We will miss her so much, but are comforted in knowing she’s at peace."

My heart goes out to their family, this is the 3rd senior pet they have had to put down in 4 months.

Rest in peace, sweet Harlow. 🕊️🌈🐾

• ​Chiggy and his bee - although I thought this was cute, it was also weird for Chiggy to start this habit after 13 years of not doing it. Always pay attention to the behavior changes in your pets. It means SOMETHING. And for Chiggy this was a food allergy/sensitivity. When I removed the ingredient in his food that caused this, he stopped doing this. My parents' dog at 8 years old started destroying toilet paper in their bathrooms - that's a gut issue.
• ​I love challenging cats - some people think this is mean, but I always enjoyed challenging a cat. If they were to fend for themselves, they might have to figure out how to get out of this situation.

​Otis – Ragdoll of the Week​

"Otis, named after the blues singer Otis Redding, is a chocolate mink Ragdoll kitten from Rustic Ragdolls in Jefferson, Iowa. He was born on September 6, 2025 and I brought him home in May 2026 to be a companion to me and my four-year-old Yorkshire Terrier Isabella. Unfortunately after nearly nine months in a cattery/veterinary clinic, Otis lacked socialization and was a big scaredy cat. He doesn’t like to be picked up (we’re working on that) and spent the first three days behind the washer. Within a week he was gaining confidence and exploring his forever home of a loft in a 1912 former military stable."
