Hi Reader, Last weekend was a long weekend in the USA to celebrate Labor Day, and the high school field hockey team that I help coach had a tournament in St. Louis. So Charlie was home alone with the cat sitter. I have the cat sitter stop by a few times a day when I'm away, since Charlie mostly just sleeps, eats, and wants to go outside. That's about the extent of his day. He wouldn't come inside for the pet sitter - the little stinker. One thing I have noticed since Trigg's departure is that Charlie becomes much more needy when I get home. It's interesting to me how oblivious I was to how much they kept each other company when I was away. I never thought Charlie needed it, but I have learned that Trigg's presence was an essential factor for that. I do not think Charlie is lonely in general - just when I am gone. How does your cat seem when you're away? I'm excited to announce our new September giveaway, designed to help you monitor your cat's kidney health. Peace, love, and purrs, Jenny 1. WatchUnderstanding CBD for Pets: A Conversation with Angela ArdolinoThis interview never got the traction it deserved. If you are using CBD oil or mushroom tinctures for your pets or yourself, this is definitely worth a listen. If you are using any supplements on your pets, this is worth a listen. Seriously. Angela Ardolino is someone who REALLY cares. She has high integrity and makes products that are truly transformative for our pets, refusing to cut corners or take the cheaper route to make a quick buck. We really need to pay attention to things like this because it's so easy to create a supplement, promote it, and sell it these days. However, we don't really understand the person or their motivation behind it, nor do we know if they took the time to find the proper sourcing, etc. 2. MeetGaston – Floppycat of the Week"Gaston is our Guest. We adopted him from the local shelter, which most appropriately named him, after he was surrendered as a homeless stray last winter. He was not in good shape, with a severe respiratory ailment, no chip, no history, and no known owner. Being an 8-10-year-old middle-to-old male surrounded by a sea of extra cute kittens, he was an unlikely candidate with little hope for adoption." |

Hi Reader, We’ve had some abnormally cooler weather here, so Charlie has been spending more time outside on his daily strolls around our fenced-in backyard. I’ve also had the window open for three days straight without allergy troubles from Charlie, even though the pollen has been at 8-9.5 out of 10 here. I genuinely believe that’s because of the homeopathic remedies he’s had, as well as working on his leaky gut for years. I’m so very grateful he’s not dealing with it anymore, and I can keep...

Hi Reader, Hope you and your kitties are doing well. It has been delightful in Kansas City this week - it reminds me of my favorite month of the year, September. September is phenomenal in Kansas City, with crisp, cool mornings, warm sun in the afternoon, and blue skies that rival those found in New Mexico all the time. I LOVE September and welcome it with open arms. I can tell Charlie also loves these days because he is spending more time outside. Our August giveaways are coming to a close,...
