One year ago today, I said goodbye to my Trigg. I can hardly believe it's been a year. Seems like yesterday. I miss him beyond measure. I have dedicated all posts on our Facebook and Instagram to him today. And did a memorable video that will be released later this afternoon.

Today, 1 year ago - in the evening, it happened, and it was a very traumatic and tragic passing. One, I hope I never have to repeat ever with anyone I love.

Go hug your babies - you never know how long you'll have them.

​How I Make My Cat’s Litter Box Super Clean!​

I recently tackled a not-so-glamorous but super important task: deep cleaning my cat's litter boxes! It all started because I was a little worried about fleas and, well, just general litter box upkeep.

There have been some great comments left on this video - some great cat cleaning tips!

First, I emptied all the old litter. Then, for the deep clean, I gave the boxes and scoops a good, long soak in hot water and vinegar. After that, I refilled them with fresh, unscented clay clumping litter. 17 years into Floppycats, I have picked up a few tips along the way, such as ensuring you have the right amount of litter depth and knowing when it's time to replace those old boxes. It's amazing what a difference a truly clean litter box makes for everyone (especially Charlie!).

This kitten has been to more states than most people! Started in New Jersey, drove through New York, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, lives in Massachusetts, and has even vacationed in New Hampshire.
