Double Grounding: When Your Cat Claims Your Wellness Tech

Originally, I purchased this Hooga grounding mat for myself, but Charlie quickly decided it was his.

He "used it" pretty religously for a few weeks, and then stopped. But two days ago started using it again.

This is what I love about this - Charlie has no idea what this thing is or what it does, he just knows that it helps balance him out when he is on it. So he gets on it when he needs it. In other words, he is not using this because of some ad he saw on Facebook or because I told him it was good for him - in fact, he found it - I never even put him on it.

Although I don't feel much from it when I am using it, I do lay on it for an hour or two every night before I go to bed - and the first few times I did that, I got a much better night sleep. Now it's not as reliable, but I do know that my bare feet do not get enough contact with the Earth to help with my grounding, so I know I need it. I do feel a reduction in stress when I lay on it.

I also know indoor cats NEVER get a chance to ground outside - so I really like this for indoor cats.

"Our two Ragdoll kitties were born September 12, 2019. They are both male and full siblings. We have an amazing breeder who allowed us to meet the dame and sire before the kittens were born. Then, once they were born, we were allowed to visit them starting at two weeks of age. Watching them grow and change color was fascinating! We chose them from a litter of 5 males, at the age of 3 weeks old."
