WatchBanish Fleas Naturally: My Epsom Salt & Baking Soda ProtocolLately, I have been getting some inquiries about how to treat fleas naturally in your house and this is it - it's great, but I hope I NEVER have to do it again. If you are exhausted from endless daily vacuuming to combat fleas, this simple home remedy will help restore your sanity. By blending equal parts Epsom salt and baking soda into a fine powder, you can safely dehydrate and eliminate fleas hiding in your carpets. I also walk through my daily routine for managing pet beds, unwashable furniture, and litter boxes to ensure the house stays pest-free without relying on harsh chemicals. Check out the full video to see the exact protocol I use to keep Charlie and our living spaces completely clear of fleas! Here are the products I mention in this video: ✨ Fleas Bugging You? However, many popular home fragrances, especially plug-in air fresheners, can be incredibly harmful to our cats. These commercially produced products often contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that linger in the air and can irritate your cat's mucous membranes and breathing passages. Short-term exposure can cause coughing, sneezing, and watery eyes, while long-term exposure is linked to more severe issues like asthma, and even liver or kidney damage. But you don't have to sacrifice a clean-smelling house for your cat's safety! In this article, we dive into:

Ground, again.Double Grounding: When Your Cat Claims Your Wellness Tech Originally, I purchased this Hooga grounding mat for myself, but Charlie quickly decided it was his. He "used it" pretty religously for a few weeks, and then stopped. But two days ago started using it again. This is what I love about this - Charlie has no idea what this thing is or what it does, he just knows that it helps balance him out when he is on it. So he gets on it when he needs it. In other words, he is not using this because of some ad he saw on Facebook or because I told him it was good for him - in fact, he found it - I never even put him on it. Although I don't feel much from it when I am using it, I do lay on it for an hour or two every night before I go to bed - and the first few times I did that, I got a much better night sleep. Now it's not as reliable, but I do know that my bare feet do not get enough contact with the Earth to help with my grounding, so I know I need it. I do feel a reduction in stress when I lay on it. I also know indoor cats NEVER get a chance to ground outside - so I really like this for indoor cats. I've linked the Hooga mat and the outlet tester I bought below. Don’t assume your outlets are grounded—I discovered some of mine weren't! Try it for yourself (or your pet) and let me know what you think. 5. MeetKai and Lani - Ragdolls of the Week "Our two Ragdoll kitties were born September 12, 2019. They are both male and full siblings. We have an amazing breeder who allowed us to meet the dame and sire before the kittens were born. Then, once they were born, we were allowed to visit them starting at two weeks of age. Watching them grow and change color was fascinating! We chose them from a litter of 5 males, at the age of 3 weeks old." Want to submit your kitty to be featured? Hi Reader, Last week, I mentioned that there is BIG NEWS in the Floppycats' family....MEET MacGyver! SHE and Bo have already formed a bond and love one another =). MacGyver was named after the popular 1980s-early 1990s TV Show that my cousin Jill loved. I love her name as well because I, too, loved that show. MacGyver comes from Bluedreamer Ragdolls in Kansas City (where we live), and she is a blue torbie. Torbie = tabby + tortie, so she is a blue lynx like Trigg was, but she has fun tortie...
Hi Reader, There is more BIG news in the extended Floppycats' family...but I haven't had a chance to properly announce it yet...can you guess what it is? My cousin was recently out of town, so I had the great pleasure of seeing her seal point Ragdoll kitten, Bo, almost daily while she was gone - and man, he is a cool cat. I am most impressed by his Ragdoll limpness when you pick him up. Reminds me of Caymus, the only other true "ragdoll" that I have picked up. Caymus, at 17 lbs, required two...
